MEET OUR LEGAL ADVISER: PRINCE IDRIS IBRAHIM ADEKUNLE ALAO
Prince Idris Ibrahim Adekunle Alao is a young polyhistor with profound interests in Education, Religious Studies, Language and Translation, Entrepreneurship, Broadcast Journalism, Shari‘ah and Common law. He earned his first degree in Bachelors of Arts Education in Islamic Religious Studies Education from the prestigious citadel of academic excellence, the Lagos State University, and another degree in Common and Islamic Law from the most sought-after Nigerian University, the University of Ilorin, Ilorin. He was called to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He is also a Certified Arabic-English-Arabic translator.
As an educational consultant, edupreneur and professional teacher – registered with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) – he has rendered top-notch educational consultancy services to Private Conventional Islamic Schools (PCIS) with the sole aim of helping schools to achieve their mandate. He possesses expertise in practical approaches to achieving a robust combination of Conventional and Arabic-Islamic education.
During his university days at Unilorin, he was a university scholar, an alumnus of the intra-Africa Study Abroad programme at Kenyatta University, Nairobi and a celebrated award-winning writer. He was both a former president of the Unilorin Student Union and the Union of Campus Journalists (UCJ). In order to give back to his alma mater, he had his one-year mandatory National Youth Service at the Department of Islamic Law, Unilorin, during which he handled undergraduate courses such as Islamic Family Law and Islamic Constitutional Law.
He has attended a number of conferences and published some learned articles in reputable outlets. He is the author of the Arabic books; “Maqalatun fi Ba‘dilQadaya Ash Shar‘iyyahWalQanuniyyah fi Nayjiriya” (A Treatise on Shari‘ah and Legal Issues in Nigeria) and BaqatulMuhamat: ‘IbarunWafa’idu fi HayatiTa’ifatinMinalMuhamin” (Parcel of the Bar: Selected Lessons from the Lives of some Lawyers).
Prince Adekunle Alao is a member of some local and international professional associations such as the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Nigerian Institute of Translators and Interpreters (NITI), Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), Nigerian Association for Educational Administration and Planning (NAEAP) and Commonwealth Council for Educational Administration and Management (CCEAM) among others. He is the Founder of Al Idrisi Hub for Studies and Translations and Qualité Edu Consult.
